Anamaria Marina is an Romanian actress. She debuted on the big screen on Sex Traffic by Channel 4 in which she won she was awarded the British Academy Television Award was awarded to the best actress. The actress fluently speaks French, German and English. Her mother played the violin and her father is a professor of theater at one of Romania's best acting schools. She was awarded an award for the Best Female Actor Award in 2000 for the Mangalia Gala for Young Actors. The year 2008 saw her honoured"an European Shooting Star" by the European Film Promotion Board. Youth Without Youth, a Francis Ford Coppola movie, was also a major part of her work. In 2008, she played Yasim anwar in the BBC series The Last Enemy. Marinca has appeared on the Romanian drama Boogie as well as Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven. She later was Irma's German grandmother in Fury the film, which came out in the year 2014.
