Audra is a singular artist with regard to the scope and range of her skills as a performer and song writer. Produced by Mike Nichols with Emma Thompson in the leading role, McDonald then returned to television networks in 2003. She starred in Mister Sterling and produced by Emmy Award winner Lawrence O'Donnell Jr. The Bedford Diaries on the WB in early 2006 and Kidnapped, NBC. McDonald earned a nomination for a Fourth Emmy in 2016, for her role in HBO's movie in the series Lady Day, at Emerson's Bar and Grill. The Bite was a six episodes pandemic-themed drama created by Spectrum Originals in collaboration with CBS Studios. McDonald was first seen as U.S. lawyer Liz Lawrence (now Liz Reddick), in CBS's law-and-order drama The Good Wife, in 2009. In the year 2018, she returned to her role on The Good Fight for Paramount+ as a regular in the series. The performance earned her three Critics Choice Award Nominations. The actress is currently a guest on Julian Fellowes' historical drama The Gilded Age on HBO.
