Awkwafina

Awkwafina is an American actor and performer who began her career with innovative raps which addressed the issues of sexuality and race with a the most comical of perspectives. Her career then grew into Hollywood. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants, was her first musical experience. She played the trumpet. Then, she started traditional and hip-hop training. In her studies, she majored in journalism, and women's studies at college, even studying Mandarin in Beijing during a brief time. It wasn't until she graduated that she begin to concentrate on music. Her track in 2012 My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success across the Internet and was later released on her debut album Yellow Ranger in 2014. On the album, there were other viral hits including Queef (body-positive) as well as NYC Bitche$. The latter track was connected to Awkwafina's NYC, a 2015 travel guide. Her resume contained both an author and musician. The singer was seeking for a new career path in acting. Aside from early TV shows like Girl Code and Tawk, she has also been featured in movies including Neighbors2Storks and Bad Rap. In 2018, she scored major roles in a variety of high-profile movies like Dude Ocean's Eight and Crazy Rich Asians. That June she issued the EP in Fina We Trust.
